Dr Yaniv Lacob is a General Practitioner, Travel Doctor with a passion and deep interest in Aesthetic Medicine. 

He graduated from The University of the Witwatersrand in 1998, and completed his Internship at Charlotte Maxeke hospital and subsequent Community Service at Tonga Hospital in Mpumalanga. 

He has been in General Practice since 2001. During this time Dr Lacob's commitment to providing his patients with the best healthcare and options through medical advancements drove him to continue his studies in various specialised medical fields.  He went on to obtain a certificate in Travel Medicine, and completed a course in Diabetic Management from The Centre of Diabetes and Endocrinology and Graduated Cum Laude in an Advanced Diploma in Aesthetic Medicine (FPD) in 2012. 

“ While I was at medical school I quickly realized that my love for Medicine was well rounded and therefore I didn’t want to restrict myself to a specific discipline as I enjoyed most specialities. I discovered my nature is to care for people of all ages, sexes and ethnic backgrounds. I am stimulated by dealing with a variety of problems and conditions. This was a driving force within myself to choose a field where I would be exposed to that. 

Family Medicine is a perfect speciality for me and I am grateful that I am able to practice in this wonderful field.

Over the years I have developed a love for Aesthetics. Helping a person feel better about themselves is a great experience. I also enjoy the creative side to it, as it allows the artist in me to emerge. The medical advancements in this field regarding the pace of new technologies and techniques is both exciting and fascinating. 

A sub field to this is working with hair loss and consulting with the most incredible, professional and skilled hair surgeons from Medical Hair Restoration. This has opened my eyes to the suffering of people with Alopecia. It can be a debilitating condition for certain people and helping them is truly rewarding”
